Fun, modern, wonderful multi-technique quilt. Every week we will learn a new technique. Many possibilities and lots of fun. No stress to put together because it is so forgiving.

Advanced Quilt Class

Come join us for a six month class of new techniques. It will feature a beautiful medallion of small hexagons and unusual shapes. The medallion will be surrounded with pinwheels, clam shells and applique.

WOOL CLUB is always held on the First Thursday of the month from 10 until noon. We work together to learn new techniques and make great projects. Bonnie Sullivan has a new book that we will start off with featuring so many fun projects. Come learn and share!

Sandra Spann is a wonderful lace-maker sharing her skills with others. You will be introduced to lace-making from the ground up! The sky is the limit to what you can make with lace! Must pre-register!

Young Living Essential oils are highly concentrated liquids derived from shrubs, flowers, trees, herbs, seeds, and bushes. They naturally defend your body to help keep you above the wellness line and live a healthier life. In this class, you will learn about essential oils, uses for essential oils and how to apply them. Our guest teacher is Missi Moore of Dothan. She will demo do-it-yourself projects. Class is free plus cost of materials used.

Our new Westalee Design Template Class starts In March and class is in session every first Friday in the morning or afternoon or the first Saturday in the morning of the month for nine months. This is a new class for beginning ruler work quilters or anyone who wants to improve their skills.

Held in conjunction with Landmark Park's Fall Farm Day, 2019's theme is Alabama as this year we will be celebrating Alabama's Bicentennial.

The City of Headland will celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks display on Wednesday, July 4 at Douglas Park at 9:00pm. The show gets better every year and can be seen outside the park as well. The City offers the show each year as a gift to the community.

You don't want to miss the 48th Annual Harvest Day, Saturday, Oct. 12. This fun-filled event takes place downtown in and around Headland's beautiful city square. The day is a tribute to local farmers and the harvest season. It includes a classic car show, children's games and rides, arts and crafts, food vendors and live entertainment throughout the day.

The Headland Farmers Market featured products are farm fresh produce: peas, butter beans, green beans, peppers, tomatoes, greens: mustard, turnips, collards; cabbage, green peanuts, rutabagas, sweet potatoes, squash; baked goods: cheese straws, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, southern teacakes; botanicals: fresh cut flower bouquets, ferns, daylillies, hydrangeas, shrubs; local honey & hive products; salsa: mild & hot; fall decorations: pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks; original art & pottery
